The newly poored cement floor in my garage surface is dusting. Does anyone know of products that can bind it down to stop the dusting? Are any of the products better or worse than others?
Thanks,
David

in 30 days lay down a sealer. Until the 30 days are up it needs to continue to cure.
IMO id chose those epoxy garage floor paints when the 30 days is up. Easier to clean, looks better, and oil doesnt soak into the pad.
However the downside is they become a bit more slippery with the epoxy paint.
You can find them @ the big box stores or any homecenter and probably most paint stores.
Thanks. I was concerned that an epoxy paint would just peal off in one huge sheet if I put it on the dusting cement.
Before you put the epoxy down, wash the floor with a very mild (1 to 20) solution of muriatic acid and water to etch the surface and remove any loose material. Rinse it thoroughly and let it dry for a few days with no foot or vehicle traffic. THEN put down the epoxy. If you're worried about it getting slick, add some Sharkskin to it- it's fine glass beads that give some slip resistance.
