I got a blueprint the other day that showed a dutch pocket door in it. It didn't hit me for a while, but then I got to thinking - Is that really possible ? Or was this some crazy idea dreamed up by some bozo without a clue ?
FWIW - This is one of those plans drawn up by some clown who has AutoCAD and thinks he's an architect.
*Hi Ron,If there weren't details on the plan then the designer was dreaming.I believe i could build a dutch pocket by having the doors at least twice as wide as the finished opening. But you better want em pretty bad if you want me to engineer something like that. In other words be prepared to pay for your flight of fancy. I have built pocket gate doors in bank branches.Anyway don't forget the skyhook that they want your trusses to hang from.joe d
*Ron, I'll bet if you looked in the right place (that's half the battle) some one already has the hardware ready to go for a Dutch pocket.I have some stuff right here at home I could adapt and make a fully fuctional Dutch pocket door and it will fit in a standard pocket with just a couple of modifications. A little tweaking and it will even look and smell good.Ralph
