Here’s another one for you all…anyone work with this hardware, yet? It’s supposed to be the newest way to create folding walls. They only sell you the hardware for $2300-$3000. You still need to work with a fabricator to get the doors. Nana doors are the local favorite, but cost $9000 each! I’m still leaning towards double sliders to save money (recall I need 4), but I just saw an article on this company. I thought I’d check around to see if they are “all that”. 🙂

I haven't, but thanks for the link, it's in my Favorites.
If I ever get finished with BT, I'll have to go check it out <teehee>
I think I sent you this link before. This builder in australia did an install that mirrors what you've been talking about here. John Walker, he posts here on occasion. You can view the job and as for him here:

Thanks, Cal. I'll ask him what he thinks.
He does good work and once you get past the language barrier you should get alot of information. Check out his website, link there at QT if you click on his name.Remodeling Contractor just outside the Glass City.

If you do get to Sydney, I highly recommend doing the Harbor Bridge Climb. We did it when were there for the Olympics. I'm not thrilled with heights and still really enjoyed it. I've heard from others that the night climb is even better - you wear minors caps and climb it!

Go to G-U Hardware's site, and you'll see some more.

Have you worked with these? I am trying to learn from someone who has whether one is better than another or if you truly get-what-you-pay-for with the expensive models.
I haven't. But I dealt with G-U on some development projects back when I was in the door business, and had an opportunity to see the bifold door hardware in displays. Very impressive.
Sealing the whole thing with weatherstripping, if building in a heating climate, would be well nigh impossible.
I've seen articles featuring houses with these large fold-away window walls, and they always seem to be in Meditteranean or Caribbean climates. Or Australia.
Calvin remarks on the same thing via a guy in Australia. That's the stuff I'm looking to learn as we would need 4 and might get better weather proofing from double sliders.
