I am a spec builder/realtor and on one of our forms we have the choices of Earth Contact Home and Earth Home. I have what believe is the correct differentiation between the two but others in the office want more proof. I have searched all over the net to find a good definition of the two without success. So I pose the question here, and if you have any resources (i.e. website, book, etc) that have a good glossary of building styles and terms please mention that also.

Depending on where you live, the difference might be whether the house is made of earth (cob, adobe, rammed earth) or simply bermed/buried. For instance, I make houses that have extensive earth contact (necessary for PAHS) but they sure aren't made of dirt.
"Earth Home" in our market wouldn't mean anything. Most realtors here wouldn't understand "Earth Contact Home" either. Meaning not on stilts?
There are a number of alternative building lists that all use somewhat different terminology. You mention a form. I'd ask whoever issued the form.

That is the simplification of the distinction between whether you are from some other planet, contacted Earth, and decided to call it home, or if you are native to the planet.
Already, (after just a generation or two), there is a lot of PC talk about whether "native to the planet" should be applied to those who are descendants of Earth contactors who decided to call Earth home, (since they and probably their parents, were born here.)... Or whether the distinction should continue.
