I know someone on this board knows the answer to this. There have been several houses in our area that have been flooded with sewage due to the county main sewer line backing up into their house. I have seen check valves installed on sewer main lines. Basically a flap that only allows sewage to go in the proper direction. The question is, can you snake (like Rotorooter) past one of these check valves, or do you need to set up cleanouts beyond it, and be very careful before it? I don’t see how you would get the snake back if it went past the check valve.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming....
WOW!!! What a Ride!

Yep. And, since it's usually at the end of the house service, that C.O. needs to be brought to the surface, which then wants a box for access. Not only is the white pvc about 5' out from the house under-beautifying, direct UV is not very nice on exposed pvc. Get a big box, too. Otherwise the C.O. plug will be enough below the box to not get a good grip with a wrench . . . Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
