I put a 100 amp panel in my two car garage/ shop and was wondering if I should put a ground in. I framed a wall a couple of inches inside the existing wall for sound and ease of putting the panel, electric, and air in behind it. Anyway, I have the panel in and could drill a couple of holes in the slab for a ground rod or two. It’s a seventy foot run to the main panel of the house. Now is the time to do this because I’m getting ready to insulate and sheetrock the wall.
I’m not an electrician. But am willing to learn.

Is the garage attached to the house? If it is, then you don't need a ground rod[s]. But if it's detached, then I would suggest ground rods if it is to be inspected.

PM22, It is attached to the house. So do I connect my ground wires in the shop to the neurtral bar along with the common wires?
The only place where the neutral and ground wires are connected to each other is at the main panel. Run separate ground and neutral wires between the two panels.
Cosider it done! Now to find my glasses!
