Has anyone out there heard of or used the EDENPURE heaters? They say they can cut your heat bill by 50 % but I am not sure if they are any different than the ceramic heater that I currently use.
Give a shout out if you know about them -good or bad.

An electric heater of any form except a heat pump is a very expensive way to heat. Don't believe the hype or bs about various heaters, be they oil, water, ceramic or Paul Harvey or whatever, it is basically pure BS. If you have any other methode to heat such as natural gas, oil burner or propane you will be way ahead. If you have a super insulated area to heat or have no other option, electric heater may be your only choice.
"An electric heater of any form except a heat pump is a very expensive way to heat."WRONG!Depends on the relative cost of the different fuels.
Well yes that is obvious, but what percentage of situations have you ever seen that electric heat is the most economical???? Almost never and if you read carefully the posts you can just tell that this persons heater is one of those Paul Harvey special moments ;-)I like your approach....now lets see your departure
A large enough number that it is not appropriate to just disregard electric heat without checking the numbers."Almost never and if you read carefully the posts you can just tell that this persons heater is one of those Paul Harvey special moments"As you said the electric heaters are basically the same. It does not matter if it is a Paul Harvey special or not. So that has nothing to do with your first comment. Also the way that those types of heaters are often used can save significant money over the cost of some other heating systems, even where electricity is not so cheap.
