I recently bought a condo in Florida. A previous owner has installed a new electrical wall plug. He used flexible armored cable with 3 wires to go from the circuit breaker box to the wall plug. Because there is no attic in the unit he fed the cable through the metal AC duct to reach the wall where he wanted the new plug. Is this OK under the National Electrical Code? It is my understanding that Florida uses the NEC for the state electrical codes.
