The last item, and perhaps the most eagerly anticipated, is the Kapex. Already released in Europe, the Festool miter saw has been the subject of many forum posts and much speculation over the last year. But fear not Festool Faithful, the saw is on its way! What’s got me excited? Accuracy folks……pure and simple. This saw gives you unmatched accuracy when cutting bevels. Not sure about you guys, but on my miter saw, the bevels (vertical miters) are usually +/- a degree no matter what I do. Not so on the Kapex. The lock on the top of the unit allows you to accurately lock down any angle you need, without the dreaded +/- 1 degree. View Image The saw also features a very solid and accurate locking mechanism for horizontal miters that locks in place just by pushing a lever down instead of the usual twist screw. Other notable features? A knob that allows you to fine adjust bevel angles, a special cutting position that allows this 10†saw to cut more like a 12â€, a depth stop for trenching operations, and a small footprint and unique design that allows the saw to be placed right up against a wall. Anyone who has tried to put a sliding compound miter saw anywhere near a wall knows the significance of this. Oh and let’s not forget my favorite feature: effective dust collection. No need to build one of those ridiculous elaborate boxes behind your saw. A single hose connected to a dust extractor does the trick.
Very nice looking saw, unfortunately its not available in north america.
Rumor has it coming to the usa this spring or summer priced around 1000.
You could buy one overseas and have it shipped here for about 2 grand.

Wow - shipped for 2 grand, hmmm.? I can wait for the US Debut.
Thanks for the info...-CRF
It's coming.............
Some other countries have different electrical, so just wait. Also, from what I've seen (and I've seen a lot of the info), when you do the currency conversion the price is more likely $1200 to $1300. If it was not in the link, its called the Kapex. Always look at the uk festool sites to see what they might have coming out, it hits the european markets about 1 year ahead of the US. The have tables that allow your TS to be set up as a table saw, a trim router, many more dust extractors, etc. than what is offered in the US.http://www.festool.co.uk/
