   Been a while but if I recall correctly most of the higher end brands (Schlage, Emtek) products can be had to fit up to 2 1/2 " slabs....just longer tabs, & screws.....

    Or you could do as I intend to do with my 4 inch thick doors,,  carve a relief into the doors (with a router) thus setting the handles flush with the surface.

   Joe, this is normal, run of the mill hdwr with thumb action, usual flipper bar on the other side.  However, it works to 2-5/8's depth.  Nothing special about this Stanley gate hardware, but its there if you need it.

   I hope you do find something different and you can post it here.  Seems you never find something easily for that elegant application.  I would have liked to have found something that looked good both sides, but in this case it matched what was already on the other openings.

   ay yi Yi ! You mean any higher end lockset will do with longer screws etc !

    

   OK, that's a Great tip. I'll start lookin into that.

   Hopefully someone has a link for some upper-end gate hardware ! (that I haven't already found).
