I’ve been using my laptop for producing designs, shop drawings, cutlist etc. for some time now. My projects are consistently getting bigger and I’d like to start using my computer more for estimates, tracking labour, and cost reports. I’m using MSExel right now, but I know there are better programs available. Therefore, I’m throwing this question out to Breaktime for advise on software. What products should I consider? What works and what doesn’t? Thanks in advance.cms.

*Thanks Mark, I've got recommendations from a few people with businesses the same size as mine. They have all said the same as you, so I'm going to give QuickBooks a try. Once again thanks for the response.cms

*Checked out the help forum you suggested. Great site. I'm glad that I can come here to find out other builder's opinions on products, before I buy. Business is good - but never good enough to throw away money. Thanks Joe.cms
