I am thinking of going with an estimating program to help out with residential work that I do. Now, I am not very comfortable using a computer, so I’m looking for something that is pretty user friendly. I would be using this program mainly for new residential construction. Any suggestions?

There have been numerous discussions on this topic, and just as many "answers". There are far too many variables to give a "one size fits all" answer.
- How many homes do you build a year?
- Do you have any employees performing labor, or do you subcontract 100% of the work?
- What level of detail are you looking to estimate at?
- Do you want to tie into your accounting software?
- How much are you looking to spend?
This is just the beginning of the questions you'll need to answer to get a decent response. Your best bet would be to do a search of the forum for "estimating software" and read some of the past threads.
