Hello, I’m new in this neck of the woods; so pardon my bumbling about. I recently purchased some specialty exterior door hardware that included a euro profile single cylinder lock. What I’m missing is the mortice set and instructions on the proper installation. The sites I’ve found so far have been the basic
lockset installations. I’ve morticed a lockset before, but not the
euro style. There’s a pin that is a couple inches long that screws into the side of the cylinder, but I’m mystified about how it relates to deadbolting into the jamb. Any thoughts?

I installed one of those a year ago and I think what yer talkin about is a long machine screw that prevents you from disassembling the lockset by taking the knob/levers off. It's a security thing. I'll see if I can find a pic.
I just got home from a euro vacation and noticed that all the locksets were of a similar construction there, much better than anything a homecheapo.
