I am looking at a vinyl siding job on a cinder block building; which has already been strapped with 1×3. The customer has supplied insulation which he wants to use but I am unfamiliar with it’s application. It is made by roxul and looks just like their studwall insulation but it’s only 3/4″ thick. Is this stuff really acceptable? I suggested to the customer to use styrofoam batts, but he assures me that this stuff is appropriate for the job. If so how should I fasten it obviously holding it up with poly would create moisture problems. I appreciate any insight offered. Thanks
