So what is everyone’s favorite tools web site? Just taking a survey to add more sites to my favorites list. <bg>.
I’m always looking for great places to get great deals on tools and work clothing.
Thanks,
Barney

Here you go barney, this is where I've bought all my power tools for 30 yrs. I am never w/o a tool should it need repair. If they can't fix it on the spot, I leave with something to get me through the day. I would buy at no other place. This family business has treated me great from long hair through now. I'm not sure I could get better pricing at the depot or amazon, they treat me that good. As far as aftersale service, let me see a conglomerate top them. I'm sure shipping would soften the deal, but for me with them a mile away, the only choice. Drop 'em an email, they're a good bunch of folks.

My favorite too. A very good tip is to shop around and take your best deal back to ToolCrib. They will confirm it and beat it by 10% every time. The number to call is on their site somewhere. They've adjusted their price two or three times for me and their service has been flawless. (so far)Kevin Halliburton

Ya wanna swap?
I zipped my "Builders Links" folder out of My Favorites.
499 files organized in 90 folders by subject. 2 main folders, "Office Work" and "Onsite". A few sub folders are 3 deeper
The attached image is an Explorer view of "Builders Links"
"Builders Links.zip" is 228KB and "Builders Links.exe", a self extracting zip file, is 257KB. I ran AVG on both.

Cool Sam, but none of that stuff hooks up with anything
, or is it me?... EliphIno!
Bill,
everytime in the past that I have posted something other than as pic, prospero has deleted my post. So I put no links except the pic of all the catagories of the "Onsite" folder.
The "Email me" link just starts your email program and inserts my address. Or you can use my prospero email link.
I also decided to use the Email method as the files are rather large and I want to swap to enlarge my own store of links.

re: your tip on tool crib do they beat price by 10% or do they beat price by 10% of the differences in prices?
it is a pity that since it is under the umbrella of amazon it is no longer near the co it once was
thanks John
Can't remember - I think you may be right that it's 10% of the difference. At any rate, it results in the best deal. I guess they've been under Amazon as long as I've been ordering from them so I can't compare today's Toolcrib to how they used to be but I don't have any complaints about how they are now.Kevin Halliburton

10% of the difference.
I know for sure because I was excited when contemplating purchasing a DW 10" miter saw (Amazon price- $209.99, Lowe's price-$179.99), thinking about how cool it was to save $18 over Lowe's. I was introduced to reality by the sales rep at Amazon, but was still pleased with the transaction. Free shipping is a very nice thing. Those late night tool cravings can be satisfied immediately, and usually at a competitive price.

How about tool discussion websites?
Taunton has a tool discussion website that doesn't seem to be pushed like Breaktime or Knots. It wasn't very active when I check it out a while back so I haven't followed it. Does anyone know what's up with it?:

A tool discussion group that I have followed for a while, although it is pretty slow at the moment is:

A couple of others that I bookmarked but haven't gotten around to following are:
