I want to build a small fence to screen off my outdoor HVAC, and another to screen off the trash cans. I am comfortable enough with woodworking methods, but need help with a panel design.
Each panel needs to be about 3 or 4 feet wide, and maybe 5 feet tall.
And I want it to be Art Deco.
Anyone got any pictures they could share? Maybe some links?
Thanks.

My A/C unit is in the front of my house and all I did was a board on board 3 sided screen,
Other places have a stucco on frame or block screen wall.
The art deco motif could be applied over just about any type of short wall, including tile designs thinsetted to a wall of metal studs and concrete backerboard,

But, I am a big fan of "cloud lifts". They are fairly easy to do and they really add a lot to a panel (or furniture, woodwork, etc.). How to describe without ability to draw it--basically, going inward from the edge, where you have your two vertical trim boards (I'll call them "stiles"), you run two short horizontals (call them short rails). The stiles butt into the bottom edges of the short rails at their outer ends (short rails are the same width as the stiles). Cut the inner ends of the short rails at a 45, so the point is at the top. (The short rails now look like an interuppted rail, with the cut out part cut so the ends angle upward.) Cut another rail to span these short rails, cutting the ends at 45. This rail will land on the short rails and overlap the width of the board, so it looks like the top rail started across and then was bent upward just its width, then continues across and bends downward and lands on top ot the opposite stile. Hope this makes some sort of sense. I think that cloud lifts are elegant and not that hard to do.
