I see that the JLC folks are advertising a 10-year collection of the magazine on CD-ROM. Anyone know if Taunton has ever considered this? I'd sure be interested.
Cheers,
Scott.
*Me too, I have tried to e-mail someone and light a fire under this, but not much has happened. I told them it would be a chance to charge more money. I would pay a fair amount for the complete set on CD. I guess it is only a matter of time before they wake up.
*Hey Sean!! Waddaya think? PDF files are pretty easy to make. I'd much rather have a searchable, printable, well-indexed data set than a mish-mash of paper volumes. Please pass this up the food chain.Thanks,Scott.
*Speaking of the JLC CD, has anyone bought this? What is your impression? Thanks,Scott.
*I like it. Picked it up at a builders conference in San Jose last year. It allows you to search a topic or word, and even print out the article. Or you can look through it issue by issue. It was 39.95, regular price $59.95. I couldn't afford it at the regular price. My only criticism, is that I wish it would remember what issues and articles I've already read. That would make it easier to read cover to cover over a period of time and get "up to date".I'm not a subscriber to JLC BTW.
*Well, if you couldn't afford last year's, this year's is $99.95! I bought it, (2 CD set) and am thus far, very satisfied.
*I'm impressed.
