I seem to be hearing a lot about fiber optic lighting in the past month. The idea of lighting multiple fixtures, from a single lighting source, via optical cable is a great idea. Has any one seen reviews, web sites or know of suppliers?

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Mmm, TOH ran an article about it recently. I looked into it -- run an Altavista or Yahoo search -- but found it to be expensive, inefficient (watt-wise), and not very bright. It is terrific for certain neat-o lighting effects, but for general lighting, eh...
