Hello,
Any experienced opinions on Masonite (Barrington/Belleville Line) versus Therma-tru for exterior doors? Am looking for good insulation in a half- lite door.
Thanks!

dont know about barrington or belleville but I wouldnt give you ten bucks for a therma-tru
almost the biggest piece of crap on the market - next to Atrium
Can I ask what problems you've had with ThermaTru?
The masonite is 1/2'' shorter frame as well as an 1/8th narrower. If you are cramming it in.
I've put in both recently. Both use the same Framesaver jamb bottoms and threshold fill. Also, if you get the pull down/tilt blinds, both from the same manufacturer at least those assembled here. In NW Oh. about the same door for the money.
I think the key to these prehungs are who the assembler's are. The parts seem damn close to being the same. The quality of assembly decides for me.
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.
