I would like to insulate my new addition with blown-in cellulose insulation but am concerned if this would create a problem where the roof meets the old house in a valley. The old roof has fiberglass batt insulation. Would this possibly cause any strange problems for snow sliding or ice dams on the metal roof? I need to decide weather to vent the new roof or not.
