I am doing a garage remodel, and filling in the gap where the garage door was located. I will be pouring a 18′ long by 19″ high by 8″thick concrete wall to match the existing stem wall.
I would like to make the seams between the existing concrete slab/footing and the new wall as watertight as possible, especially the bottom seam.
I was thinking of running a foam mudseal between. Does anyone have any suggestions on a material that would be more durable and waterproof
Suggestion?

my 2 cents, the foam will make it worse, what you need is a cement to cement bond.no matter what you will have a dry line doing this.
if i really needed it watertight i would take a skill saw and cut a goove about 1" deep on the floor in the middle of where your wall will pour.then get a piece of aluminum plate maybe 4" wide the width of the door and put it into that groove and the pour the wall. you will have a spline that way to hold the water back.larry
if a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
I'd skip the "gasket" idea and focus on proper grading/drainage on the exterior side. Having no water against the joint will preclude it from ever leaking.
