look at the TFP air cleaner at http://www.lifebreath.com. It doesn't restrict the air flow as it is installed as a by-pass unit. I have seen one installed but can not make any recommendations one way or the other. I did price one about a year ago, about 7-800 dollars Canadian. My house does have a Lifebreath HRV, 2 years old that has operated reliably. Hope this helps.
*The "best" is the one that suits your needs. We usually make up a series of filter slots on the return side. We Stick with standard sizes and make up U channels on three sides. We then select filters to suit the needs of the client. Media, Carbon..... Just be sure the filters you put in don't change the air flow more than design limits on blower..... Commercial filter racks are available and filtration systems available but we haven't found them to have a value that equals their price tag.
