Does anybody know if they have disposable filters available? If so, I have never seen them.
It got me thinking though. . . Why couldn’t I just use some kind of fabric? You know, like use the blue filter as a pattern and cut 10 or more at a time. I have an endless supply of old t-shirts and other fabrics that I think would work just fine.
Do you think this would work?
Also, I just got The ShopVac Bulldog, which is basically Shop-Vac’s 1 gallon on wheels and with a 6ft. hose. I love it! It rarely dumps over like the other one. . .

Darcy,
If you are going to use fabric for a filter, I would recommend that you stay away from tee shirts. And cloth like sheets or pillowcases, or dress shirts, etc.
The best fabric to use is a very tight weave, specific sort of flannel. I forget what it is called now, but I had to ask for it specifically when I made my dust collection system. It is very tight weave, and it is kind of hairy, or fuzzy. A bit more than normal... It is common enough that it wasn't a special order, but I did have to ask for the right kind.
If you do nothing, nothing will happen.
Yes, I bet flannel would work. Hmmm... I bet I could find some at $1 per yard and probably cut 8 filters per yard so that seems like a good solution. T'would be efficient. Thanks.
Check out Shop-Vac's website; http://www.shopvac.com/index.html. The filters (foam and paper) are available online and the website also lists local servicing dealers. I found the website helpful after moving halfway across the country to find filters locally.
Thanks for the link. They are much less expensive through the ShopVac website, than at Lowes.
I use old pantyhose..no, not mine.

Yep, I bet pantyhose would work. They are great for straining paint too.
