my cr* azz craftman 1 gal shop vac FINALLY broke, i’m trying to figure out how, I think the cold some how did it. U was working on my ride on lawn mower and usin it to do the sh of it. and it was working fine, I didn’t use it for mabey an hour, then packed up and went inside. turned it on to blow off, and what do you know…. it wouldn’t turn on. (yes the outlet worked) YAY… I mean awww. luckly my B-day is super soon and I can get my dream vac ($99 rigid RIDGID 14 Gallon Pro Vac WD1450)

Man - if you are going to have a "dream" vac - then dream large. I can't think of anything Ridgid makes that would be a "dream" tool.
Gonna dream, dream right - dream about a Fein Turbo II vac or a Festool CT vac - now that's dreamin!

I have the PC 14 gal. I don't think the Fein or Festool can be much better. Of course, I could be wrong on this. Fein and Festool would have to send me their vacs for a test to settle the question.
Their a lot quieter for what that's worth and also -more importantly - their power outlets are capable of quite a bit more amps.handy for using them tool activated for table saws and router tables. As far as I know, the PC is limited to only 6-7 amps.JT
For a 16 yo old male, dreaming of a new shop vac should be WAAAAY down the list. LOL
