Where the heck should I go to find drywall clips?
I’m getting ready to frame a couple of interior, non-load bearing walls, and my inspector suggested that I connect the top plate to the trusses loosely with drywall clips so my ceiling doesn’t crack when the wood moves.
So I tried Home Depot, Menards, and Lowes. After sending me to an average of four departments each, they all told me that they don’t have them. I called a couple of lumber places with no luck.
Where should I go?

Any lumberyard that sells Simpson or KantSag hangers can order them for you. If you are in a big market where drywall is sold by specialty supply houses, they should have them, also.
These things are the way to go when framing and hanging rock, and I think all lumberyards should stock them, but few do.
They probably have them, with the Simpson stuff, they just don't know it.
happy?
Don't know where you live (you haven't filled out your profile), but If you've got the big boxes, you've probably got a drywall supplier. They'll have what you need.
