Hi,
Just getting ready to finish some new hardwood flooring I installed (white ash, red birch, maple, white pine) and wondering about using a German product called Hardwax Oil (http://www.osmo.de/osmocms/eng/produkte/…color/hartwachs-oel.php)
Anybody have any experience with it? We’re looking for something that penetrates rather than a surface-type finish, and want to be able to spot-repair without resanding the entire floor.
More details about the product are located here: http://www.environmentalhomecenter.com/shop.mv?CatCode=PRODUCT&ProdCode=OS_HARDWAX_OIL.
Thanks,
Ed Geis

I prefer an oil based polyurethane bona kemi makes a good one. Since it is a oilbased product it does soak in to the wood. The stuff is pretty durable and can be touched up.
