Neighbors lost their house early this morning. Fire started in the garage. It was still small when the homeowner found it. Tried to put it out but his garden hose was full of ice and would not flow water. We live on a relatively new gravel road. It has a county number but it is not on the current county map. Fire department had trouble finding the fire. By the time they got to the house the fire was well into the roof structure. Spent the day helping to move furnature and possessions to storage. Came home and pulled our hose into the garage so it can thaw out. This follows news that our old house in Illinois suffered extensive damage last week when a log rolled out of the fireplace. Take heed. Take care.
