anyone remember seeing a fire pit in Finehombuilding about a year ago? A friend on mine wants me to build it.
Thanks
Tim

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

This has been discussed in the past. And I remember as least one series of pictures of one place. Probably more.
Use the advanced search at the TOP of the message index. Not the SEARCH under the FineHomeBuilding.com banner.
fire ring might be another search term to use.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Here's ours. Sorry about the large file size - DW tried to stall something and it trashed several programs, including the one I use to reduce image sizes - ARGH!
Anyway, the thing that I like about this one is that it acts as a coffee table as well as a fire pit - someplace to put food, drink, feet...
We purchased this one, but maybe it will give you some ideas...
Are there seat belts on the benches and doesn't the wood fall out of the pit? And how do you keep drinks on the pit?
