almost missed yur question....
despite all the fire retardents for shakes out there shakes here have been outlawed because of them being a fire hazard...
doubt you'll proofing..... you could buiid temp fire shielding for the duration of the roofing project.... sheet metal shields and fire blankets....
could ya fill in yur profile.... there may be some one her from yur neck of the woods that can help....
another thing to consider is that a lot of those fire proofing chemicals be some really unfriendly and nasty "stuff"....
