Recently my dust bag was full on my Bosch 5412L Dual Compound Miter Saw. When I went to take the bag off the whole enchilada came apart. When it did I found that Bosch used a electrical zip lock tie to fasten the bag to the nozzel back bone assembly that resides inside the bag. This suprised me as I thought this was supposed to be German engineering. Anyway…
Last night I went to a hardware store and purchased a rubber “O” ring (1-3/4 OD x 1-1/2 Id – 1/8″ Wall; PTN: 129077; Lincoln Products). I placed the rubber “O” ring on the nozzel, slipped the bag on, slipped the “O” ring over the bag, and pulled the bag over the backbone. As a famous French chef once said, “Wal-la.” We are now back in business.
