First timer… I have a brick planter that was built 1″ away from a wall with wood siding, there is sand in the opening between the wall and the planter, the sprinkler over spray has set up the perfect conditions for the siding to rot. I am planning on vacuuming out the sand and installing a flashing from the wall over the brick to prevent any further water pooling in between, which resulted in water coming thru the wall. Is there a correct caulk or adhesive to use in this situation between a galvanized flashing and concrete brick? Does this sound like the correct fix for my situation? Have I missed anything?
