I’m helping a friend construct a skylight… we’ve got it drywalled and now we’re installing corner bead. Halfway up the light well, there is an obtuse angle and we’re wondering if there is a flexible corner bead, perhaps made of plastic that can simply be set in a bed of mud and then feathered smooth. I’ve tried seaching the internet but this doesn’t seem to be the easiest thing to find. First, is there such a thing and if so, is there a brand name that will help in my search? Thanks!

Not sure I get the question - there is a flexible cornerbead, but it is for curves, not angles. Could you post a pic?
Hi Huck,Yes, it's a corner bead for a straight angle... the prospect of bending a regular metal 90 degree corner bead into this shallower angle doesn't seem like it will work since the idea is to create a nice crisp line and I worry the metal will deform, things won't lay flat, etc. So I wondered if there was a simple alternative. I'd post a picture but I'm digitally challenged. Sorry.
Look in the phone book for 'sheetrock' or 'building materials' and find a place that sells primarily sheetrock. There are a couple of varieties of flexible corner bead, and they will have it stocked in quantity. Not expensive either, especially if you just need one piece. probably less than $5.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
There are many products that would solve your problem.
As someone else mentioned - try looking up a drywall supplier in your area
I personally like to use No-Coat products for all my inside and outside corners - http://www.no-coat.com - as far as I know though, this only comes in 100' rolls
you might also try filling in your location in your profile and someone might be able to recommend a specific place for you to go - or if you were close enough I could cut a few feet off a roll for you

no coats 90 degree can be bent to other anges. it works really well.
I mostly use the ultra-flex used to use the light - now use the 325
Sure makes getting crisp corners easy - good for long runs between wall and ceiling also.
