I bought a house with a concrete front porch 6’6″ wide x 43’6″ long. The overhang is supported by four equally spaced metal columns (1′ square)that are 12′ 6″ high. On each side of the porch there is a low spot approx. 4′ x 4′ on which water collects after the rain blows in. I think I have heard of a self-leveling compound that might level out these spots. Can they be floated out? Any help sincerely appreciated.

Hi Ruff,
You've got a fair amount of surface there. We've just finished discussing a similar situation.
You can do two things, patch only the low spot and have a visible spot or patch the entire surface.
Call your local Mapei rep and get the lowdown on their products or use your search engine and look up Mapei on the internet.
You can get several products that will do the job and they are permanent. Depending on the variance and temperature range will determine the type.
