Saw an ad for a floor drain that does not need a primer trap a while back, but can’t seem to be able to find it now. If I remember correctly, it had a “slit bladder” that would let fluid pass one direction, but coiled or compressed to stop back flow. Anyone else seen this???
Thanks,
HV

Try searching for "check valve flexible" (worked for me). The term "duck bill" also seems to come up a lot. There's also a type that has a float built into a plug.
I had to go check my Email to see if you asked me this there or not ;-)

That TrapGuard is the one I have in a basement shower. Works great.
It did de-laminate once and the rubber/fabric assembly disappeared down the drain. But the TrapGuard sent me a new one at no cost and were very nice to deal with.
