I’ve found a 3″ stack of Ian’s flooring photos in one of his boxes i’m cleaning out. Some of them are posted on his website (iandgilham.net), but there are a whole lot more beautiful pics than he was able to post there.
I wonder if someone out there would like to have these photos for inspiration, for samples shots to show customers what is possible, or maybe just some really cool postcards. Any takers? I would be happy to send them to the first respondent.

Wow, inspiration isn't the word for it. What a treasure trove.

I just ran across a CD with more...The most interesting thing i've seen so far was the letter of reference from his Saudi employer for Ian's work as Project Manager for a palace, a hospital wing, and a car park. He'd even kept a copy of his contract negotiations: he got several airline tickets per year as part of this contract, but the company wouldn't kick in for a pool table for recreation for managers. Not sure they needed one...the STANDARD workweek was six ten-hour days...uff da!
I don't know if Calvin is taking them, but I'd love to have them. I just finished doing another floor today.

I think Cal was jus' kickin' the tires, JJ. As a bonus, since it's the same size as the photographs and will protect them in transit, i'm including Ian's "little red book", Roof Cuts and Rafter Lengths.Send me your mailing address to my email above, and i'll post these to you on Monday.
Doesn't Ian need these photos anymore or is there more to this
story?
If you find anymore I'd love to get a few myself.

Colleens husband Ian passed away early this month. See the thread Ian Gillham will be remembered.http://www.quittintime.com
Wow, I totally missed that one,my apologies and my condolences
No apologies necessary, but thanks kindly for your condolences. I don't think there are any more stacks of photos i haven't found in Ian's belongings, but you can see postings of many of his completed floors on his website <iandgilham.net> and save those images to your own drive for reference when his site goes down eventually.
I'm happy to see you, but also sorry to hear about Ian. I never had any idea there was a connection.
There are lots of stories and BS in the tavern, and you're welcome to hang around here again anytime.
Thanky, darlin', i just might do that. Ian functioned sort of like starting blocks for me, something to push off against when i'd make a run at a new project/theory about life/letter to the editor. Being a self-starter is all well and good, but your offer is well-received.
I used to read your discussions on Knots 2-3 years ago, but I never made the connection between you and Ian. You two must have made quite a pair.
