For Modified Roof, use 43lb base sheet?
A new grandulated modified roof is going over my open patio. Currently it has a 14yr old, non-leaking, 4-layer mopped roofing with a roll-on Aluminum sealer.
The original decking is 1/2″ ply and the new modified roof is being bid with a 43lb base sheet. Is that thick enough?
The patio roof is a shallow 1-1/2-12′ slope, on the 16′ width and is 44′ long. Tear off, tie-in, and hot mop bond between the modified granular layer and the base sheet is bid at $3,400. Is that price Good or bad?
Thanks for your help,
Bill

Thanks for the insight, Piffin.
What roof (and brand) would be the next level of upgrade to the Mod. B. that's hot mopped on?

I don't know if you will do better in a hot applied for a small job like that. The quality will show ( or not) in the tie-in and flashings
