on the exterior of a foundation, which would be your first choice to do after the waterproofing, the black dimple stuff ( sorry dont know the trade name) or styrofoam? both or one?

We did this 22 yrs ago. No gutters, built in the hill. No moisture problems.
Dan is partially right. You must detail the whole system. Waterproofing, insulation and drainage.

Styrofoam is not waterproofing.
My approach has been to apply Bituthene to the concrete using the primer that comes with it, and then install Delta Drain over that. If you need insulation against the wall it needs to go on BEFORE the Delta Drain.

pardon my ignorance but bituthene is.... the black tar or something else
