I am planning on installing a high-efficiency fireplace insert and need someone to frame a viny-sided chase to house an 11″ OD metal chimney. The chase would be built atop of the “dog house” that currently houses a gas fireplace and would go up the back wall of the house (need to remove vinyl siding) and somehow continue up past the eaves and gutter to finish 3ft above the roof.

How can anyone respond when they don't know where you are?
An inch to short. That's the story of my life !
bstcrpntr --- I hope to grow into this name.
Well, he's near Baltimore. I definitely can't get there.
How soon do you need this done? I'm booked for the next couple of months. And just where near Balt., north/south? I'm about 1-2 hours south. Maybe someone else would be closer. 1 or 2 story ; how tall? Bill D.
Forset Hill Maryland, about 30 mins North of the city.
The chase will need to be about 16 feet tall. Time is not so much an issue as doing it right.
Any takers???
