Do any of the framing books cover building an octagon shaped house?
Thanks for any help. Eddie

I've done trusses for the roofs of octagon-shaped houses several times.
Lots of girders and special hangers are generally needed. It's kind of a pain in the neck. But it's not a real big deal.
If you're wanting to stick frame it, that would be a whole different ball game. Depending on how big it is, you may need a lot of bearing points and/or beams.
