Depending on the type of project, whether the crew is "imported labor" or not, and the complexity of the job, I'd say you're somewhere between $2.50 and $25.00 per SF.

$99,500.I think that's the going rate here.
Is that including the lumber?Handyman, painter, wood floor refinisher, property maintenance in Tulsa, OK
$125 sqft. You buy the nails. Email me for a start date.
sunsen,
Friends tell me that it's realtively easy to get a contractor now for between $5 and $35.00 a sq foot depending on factors like the site, how conjested it is and access etc. The differance between price quotes for any given site.. seems to be the experiance the framer has, the level of liability and insurance he has, the size of his work crew and how complex the job is..
I've seen $5.00 a sq foot for a large site capable of handling a forklift, easy parking, done by a relatively new framer just trying to keep busy.
Locally I also saw a contractor earn $200.00 a sq ft. to frame on a really tough site.

Holly Cow! $200 a sq. to frame, What was the cost of the house completed.
$200 a square will get you a pretty nice house finished.

$2 large a ft, the lead man on the crew was Jesus! Thats about the only guy I would pay that kind of dough for.
Yea, I still cant rap my head around that, must be a typo?
If its true though I'm switching from cabinet making to framer!

I doubt I could draw 200/ft to frame the Space Needle on top of Mt Everest.View Image
Maybe if just the footprint at grade were considered... it's about 35 x 35 where it hits the dirt.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. :-)
BTW - I wonder if Jesus was a framer or a trim guy? I once had a concrete guy named Jesus :-) I'm thinking he wasn't the some one though.
Jesus was a framer. Didn't you see him carry all that heavy lumber up that hill like it was nothing? Had to be a framer. ;)View Image

I'm not sure everything was on the up and up with that one.. I mean the money was real, I saw his first draw. It paid for a brand new loaded 8000# forklift with a whole bunch left over.. (and that was just his first draw)! He bought a second one and another trailer full of tools plus another truck to tow it with.. and hired a whole crew with his second draw..
I wish I could figure out what went on, all I got was snippets and little pieces of the story.
thanks for the input folks.
