I’m looking for information of how to frame a basement door which is weather-resistant (door is to be slanted). The existing siding is stucco. The old door and frame has been removed due to dryrot and termites. The opening for the frame is approx. 74″ from wall to edge of footing and 64″ wide. The existing footings are approximately 8″ across. The old frame was approx. 39″ tall. I’m particularly concerned about keeping rain from entering the basement along the door frame. Any help would be appreciated.

Evidently you all took great pleasure with this one. I will state that as this is a basement there are stairs which lead into the basement. The height from the stair tread directly below the opening at the wall is 6'4".
