I don’t know what you call them, but I want something that looks like a wood stove but burns propane (for a bit of heat & entertainment, not cooking) for my cabin.
I do not want the unvented type, however I would like one that has some kind of direct vent that goes horizontally thru a wall instead of the ceiling. Ideally it would be a lot smaller than a normal 6″ or so stove pipe.
Does anyone know of a product like this? Thanks a lot.

Many, many companies produce gas stoves. Without offering a recommendation (because I don't own one), here are the first few that came up in a search:

That should get you started.

Vermont Castings makes top quality stoves. I liked mine a lot in my previous house.
I'll check them out. Thanks, guys.
We have a Hampton medium sized gas stove that probably looks like what you want. It is unlikely that you will get a small diameter vent, however--I think ours is 6-5/8" OD Dura-Vent pipe and that's the smaller size.
Yes, that is what I am finding out (that 6.5" might be the smallest available). I was trying to minimize the size of the hole thru the wall, but it looks like that is not going to be possible. Thanks
Take a look at the Jotuls also. They are very nice stoves.
Yes, I have seen some of those in the past. They are nice also. Thanks
I can tell you that the Vermont Castings stoves are on the expensive side, but very well-made & durable - won't burn through in a few years like the cheap ones.
And I think they are the best looking, but that's really a matter of personal taste.
