I have decided to go back with double coverage roll roofing on the 14′ x 22′ porch. Would I gain anything with ice and water shield under, or is that redundant, a waste of money? What kind of time would be involved for one person to do a tearoff and put on the roll roofing?

We never did get a clear picture of the scope of the project as some were wondering if the 2 inch slope you mentioned in 104279.1 was 2inches drop in 12inches of roof or a 2 inch drop over the whole 14 ft?

It's a 2/12 pitch, actually, slightly more, like 9" on a 4' level.
You'll be glad you spent the little extra money and covered the whole roof with Grace Ice&Water Shield.
