Hey all,
I got this client that Ive known for quite a while and she has a doublewide on a foundation. When they set this thing the sill was not tight to the block, gaps all around, no termite block and I need to seal it up for her. The siding starter has about 15 staples per foot that was my initial method….the inside is accessible. I thought about fiberglass in the block and a piece of fascia slid in and caulked? Just wanted to get your thoughts,
Thanks
Dan

Blacky.... caulk it if it's just to keep the bugs/air out. Grout it if it's structural.
Assuming there are not gaps ALL the way around. :)
Sounds like some serious gaps ... that the CMU (concrete block) was not very level. The house should rest as squarely and continuously as possible, I would think to provide the even support intended. So your fill should be solid like the other comment made. If you got the big gaps it sounds like, you should insert something real solid (shims, grout), then caulk to seal air flow.
