Just wondering if there are any lighting experts out there who could give a little advice to a beginner. I am finishing a garage/shop that is 28′ deep and 48′ wide 10′ tall, all open, no partition walls. The shop is one end of the garage about 10′ x 28′ and the rest is for parking cars and boats and will sometimes be use for working on cars…. Is there any formula for figuring out how many lights to use? I plan on using 2 bulb 4′ flouresent units. How many and how far apart should they be spaced? I found some flouescent units that are mounted flush with the ceiling, a little pricey but might be worth it for cleanliness?? Thanks for the help.
