hey, anybody know if I can’t run 1″ black pipe from my meter down the side of the house 10′ before I turn the corner and go in?

paint the exterior of the pipe with some quality paint and not a latex type either... prime too...

I'm in King Co. WA, and as far as I know we adhere to unified codes. Might be a few earthquake related things, but I think as long as there's no risk of car strike, etc., that the inspector will be happy when he comes. I'd just hate to get done and find out it needed to be done all over. I'm not a plumber, ya know.

That pretty much describes our setup, but I'd guess it's maybe 12-14 feet.
