General Electric recalled certain models of DE and Hot point dishwashers some months ago. It seems that the switch that controlled the heating element was a potential fire hazard. DE said that appliance replacement was the answer and that no repair kits were available.
According to attorney general of New York, repair kits are available to commercial accounts, but not home owners.
Is there anyone out there that would be willing to sell me one of these repair kits? I refuse to replace this appliance just because DE has decided that home owners aren’t entitled to them.
Thank you very much.
