Does any one have a glossary of terms for their customers? I assumed my customer knew what window “casing and trim” was until I installed paint grade (like our contract stated) and he wanted stained.

Sound like your customer didn't read the specifications, or ? I don't think a glossary would help. Some projects, I see a finish, and paint schedule in the drawings. Maybe that would help.
I've known a couple of ladies who claim ignorance (yet probably know more than many contractors) the hassle there lawyer husbands raise when they don't get their way makes you raise you hands and wanna run..
This happens to auto mechanics too. Lady brought car in, came back with husband/boy friend, won't pay the bill or demand a big discount, because she didn't have a clue of what the mechanic was talking about and the things he did were not authorized. You just can't be too careful.
