I need to make up some small trim ( think quarter round or shoe mold profile) out of Ipe for a deck we are putting down. This will wrap a small bump-out on the deck. Was thinking of trying to glue these small pieces of Ipe to each other ( as opposed to trying to screw them together). Has anyone tried glueing Ipe to itself and what type of glue worked best
Thanks for any help,

Polyurethane. Oily woods like Ipe won't allow a really strong glue bond, but should be more than enough for some moulding.
Hey, perfect opportunity for you to buy a new tool.

yeah, polyurethane or epoxy. wipe the wood with acetone first.
I seem to recall a recent (non-Taunton) article that said that acetone or pre-sanding didn't add much strength to difficult glue bonds, but I could be mistaken.
Definitely want to let the acetone thoroughly evaporate, though, before glueing...

I have used it to build teak furniture. Sample glue joint left in a bucket of water for weeks held fine.
