My wife has purchased some Gorilla shelves for me at a garage sale
she says they are 6 ft or so tall & maybe that wide
she nor the owner couldn’t figure out how they were put together
feel like I’ve read about them here?
how do I break them down to put in my truck? driver? rubber mallet?
thanks, john

If they're the same as what i have, a rubber mallet is ideal. lift the particleboard off, and whack upwards at the corners where the shelf supports meet the verticals. there's a little bolt thingy that locks them together.
I've got eight of them holding my tools and bolts and whatnot. pretty sturdy.

she made it sound like they were all shiny steel
no particle board but I'll go w/ the rubber mallet
thanks
Hmm. Mine are black metal verticals and supports, with particleboard shelves.
probably same idea, I guess. good luck.

I just put togrther a bunch of those things.
Rubber mallet is all you need.
Lift the all the metal shelves off and all that is left is the frame. Front, back, and side supports are all seperate pieces. Whack each end up with the mallet and locking ears (round) will pop out of the keyhole slots.
They are easier to but back together with two sets of hands, but can be done alone if you start with the middle shelf parts first. Then do the bottom shelf and the rest fill in pretty easy.
yes the Gorilla is in the detailsthanks for replies
I was able to haul two at a time in / on my truck and did not have to break them down
lumber rack worked well
but for future I now know
Why do you have a gorrilla & why do you keep it on shelves?
